Will farming be restricted by the establishment of the Goričko park?

Farming is not at all restricted by the Decree. Nature-friendly farming will be especially promoted in areas with endangered species.
In the Goričko Nature Park we wish in the first place to preserve the cultural landscape. The methods of working the land and the division of the soil by the method of use can be seen today in the picturesque image of Goričko, which will become an increasingly sought-after bounty of modern man. Farming will continue to be desired in the Nature Park, and will also be subsidized (Slovene Agricultural Environmental Program - SKOP), and the method of farming which is practiced in the park today offers the possibility of orientation towards organic farming, which is increasingly present and encouraged in Slovenia. Here it should be emphasized that this will not be mandatory, but an individual decision to take advantage of the support and stimulation which the state already offers to organic farming. The use of chemical substances will not be banned upon the establishment of the park, but the park will give preference to better marketing mainly of food produced in an environmentally friendly manner. The combining of lands, which is of course necessary from the point of view of agriculture, can also be oriented towards increasing the efficiency of farming while at the same time caring for environmental protection and the human environment.

The Nature Park will cooperate with the Institute of Agriculture and Forestry in Murska Sobota in all areas of agriculture.
